TO ALL LEGISLATORS:

Oklahoma Horizon is a weekly television show that showcases contributions made by individuals, companies and other organizations across the state to benefit Oklahomas economic development and quality of life.

The show that begins airing on January 3 will feature:
* Arbuckle-Simpson Aquifer - The possibility that billions of gallons of groundwater pumped in the western half of the state could be transported to central Oklahoma opens the flood gates of controversy.
* Comprehensive Water Plan - Duane Smith, executive director of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, discusses Oklahomas comprehensive water plan.
* Global Climate Change - Ken Crawford and Gary McManus discuss the possible impact of climate on future water supplies based upon the findings from the Oklahoma Climatological Survey.
* GEO Probe - A new piece of equipment enables a closer examination of Oklahomas soil and the quality of groundwater.
* World Neighbors - An Oklahoma-based group is sponsoring a new film about the future of water and its impact around the world.

The 30-minute weekly production is a partnership between the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. Oklahoma Horizon is broadcast on a network of stations reaching 150 million homes. The show debuts at 3 p.m. Sunday on OETA. Oklahoma Horizon also airs on local cable stations, nationally on RFD-TV and in Europe on the Global Broadcasting Network.
