Mark your calendars for this film series that explores what we eat...
The ECO Film Project is presenting three documentaries this fall to learn about industrialized agriculture, genetically modified organisms and sustainable options. The film series is free and open to the public.
All three films will be shown at OSU’s Noble Research Center, room 207, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
October 28 - King Corn
Balancing humor with insight, in this feature documentary, "college friends move to the heartland and learn where their food comes from." An informal discussion will follow.
November 4 - Fed Up
A documentary about "Genetic Engineering, Industrial Agriculture and Sustainable Alternatives." An expert panel discussion following this screening will feature: Dr. Mike Dicks, OSU agricultural policy professor; Dr. Barbara Stoecker, OSU nutritional sciences professor; and “organic lawyer,” Harlan Hentges, agricultural law attorney and OSU alumnus.
November 11 - Fresh, The Movie
The film series will end with suggestions for reinventing our food system in this 2009 feature documentary. An informal discussion will follow.
The 2009 ECO Film Project is sponsored by ECO-OSU, Sustainable Stillwater, and Sierra Club Stillwater.
